We are currently seeking an Account Manager for American Express Access, Music.

• Assist in the strategic guidance for AXP Access Platform focusing on venue/promoter partnerships including music and sports programs
• Recommends innovative improvements on programs to the client by helping to prepare various decks and POVs
• Assist in development and writing of AXP Access Plan to create strategic goals, access-related initiatives and content offerings that will further the overall Access program
• Participate in the AXP Inter-Agency Team to integrate sponsorship strategies within overall AXP marketing communications
• Help maximize existing sponsorship assets
• Involvement in contract negotiations with properties/partners, as appropriate
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of each sponsorship project including management of budget, development of success metrics, client communication, etc.
• Create and fulfill successful Early On-Sale programs for AXP Cardmembers nationally
• Keep abreast of all developments in the Entertainment industry through reading trade publications, business and arts section of newspapers
• Role involves being the day to day lead on a number of sponsorship properties across music and sports categories
• Role involves a lot of autonomy while still being supported by Account Director
Previous Experience
• 5+ years diverse multi-platform marketing experience in music, entertainment and/or sports
• Managing databases and ability to extract information to formulate metrics based on client’s needs
• Experience developing, managing partnerships and knowledge of contract negotiations in the music or entertainment industry
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple individual projects, see the critical path, and deliver results.
Skills
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and ability to work effectively with database management
• Skills include Marketing, Branding, Executive Management, Strategic Planning, Communication, Data Analysis, Time Management, Organizational Skills, Leadership
• Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
• Demonstrate a high patience threshold
• Should be an assertive self-starter, who can also consistently display the interpersonal skills of an effective team player
• Additional desired competencies include the ability to learn rapidly; flexible intellect and highly flexible work-style; ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment; and a collaborative work-style
• Strong communication skills
• Negotiation and account management/development
